Suiting Up

This time of year I always start itching for some warm weather. You too? Yea, it’s pretty much universal for those of us living in places that get hit with brutal cold during the winter months! Once the insanity of the holidays passes it has become somewhat of a ritual for me to find a new swimming suit…. one that will serve me well for our February vacation to somewhere blissfully warm as well as for the coming summer. This is what I’ve come up with for this year.

Suit | Sarong | Fedora | Shades | Flips

How stunning is the sarong/scarf from L’Aviva Home? You may recall that Laura Aviva told us all about these vintage ikat scarves a while back in a Provenance post. Oh, and speaking of, Laura will be featured tomorrow in a new Limelight post. Be sure to check back as she’s giving CLOTH & KIND readers a sneak peek of a new product that she’ll be debuting soon.

So, what about you? Do you have travel plans to escape somewhere warm soon and if so, how will you be suiting up? Until then, let’s all just daydream about warmer temps.

  1. Such a great combo – love the sarong and the shades and I don’t go anywhere warm and sunny without a big hat. I got way too much sun in my younger years so I need to shade myself. And you’re never going to believe this, but we passed up a trip to the Bahamas with my other company that I work for – ugh. I’ll just wait for spring to arrive quickly I hope.

    • Wait, wait… how and why did you pass up a trip to the Bahamas, Holly?! That had to be hard! I’m with you – way too much sun in my younger years and so I love a nice wide brimmed straw hat in the summer to try to prevent any more damage than I’ve already done.

  2. Love it all, but the mainstay of my warm weather life for as long as I can remember are those J. Crew leather flip flops. I’ve silver, gold, bronze, pink gold, natural, you name it – in multiples. I live in fear that one day they’ll stop making them!

    • Hahaa! They are so great, aren’t they? I’ve gone though several pairs myself. With any luck if we keep buying they will remain a J. Crew staple for years to come.
